A quick update from Carus Animal Health
Published Saturday, 1st March 2025You may have noticed it has been a bit quiet on our News page recently. But behind the scenes, we have been busier than ever.
Over the past couple of years, we have concentrated our efforts on advancing our research and development capabilities. Our major focus was isolating a key canine faecal calprotectin antigen – a complex process that required time and precision. And yes, feline innovations are already in the pipeline so stay tuned!
Faecal calprotectin has been used in human medicine for the management of chronic gastroenteropathies for over forty years and is a sensitive biomarker of gastrointestinal inflammation but has only been utilised in the veterinary market more recently.
Rather than rush to publish incremental updates, we chose to perfect the science first. That dedication has paid off and we are proud to say this breakthrough is complete, laying the foundation for exciting developments in veterinary diagnostics with our unique patient side lateral flow test.
Expect regular updates as we bring these innovations from our labs to your practice.
Thank you for your patience. Stay tuned for more information.
