Carus Animal Health showcases GIQuest at VOACON 2025
Published Monday, 26th May 2025Carus Animal Health was pleased to participate in this Year’s Veterinary Osteoarthritis Congress (VOACON) held at Holywell Park Conference Centre, Loughborough on the 21st and 22nd May.
The two-day event brought together leading veterinary osteoarthritis experts and was an opportunity for lively discussions and shared updates on the latest research, clinical practices, and product innovations in the management of osteoarthritis in dogs, cats, horses and exotics too.
Taking centre stage on the Carus stand, was GIQuest, a new patient-side faecal calprotectin test to support the investigation of canine inflammatory enteropathies. Also useful for gastrointestinal monitoring in patients on oral non-steroidal anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs), GIQuest attracted strong interest from delegates keen to explore its practical role in supporting canine gastrointestinal health.
The stand also proved popular not only for clinical interest, but also for its themed blue cocktails, complete with edible glitter and a pawprint motif. Cocktail hour provided the perfect setting for informal networking and in-depth clinical discussions alike.
Jolian Howell, Chief Business Officer at Carus Animal Health, said “Meeting vets face-to-face is the perfect opportunity to understand the challenges they encounter in practice. Events like VOACON allow us to share our innovations, but also to listen… sometimes the most valuable conversations happen over a drink.”
With a steady stream of delegates visiting across both days, the Carus team also welcomed attendees from the equine and exotic lecture streams, reflecting the broad interest in accessible, in-practice diagnostic tools across the veterinary profession.
Carus extends its thanks to the VOACON organisers and to everyone who took the time to visit the stand. The team looks forward to continuing the conversation at future events and sharing more developments in veterinary diagnostics.
